Texans who want to legally grow Industrial hemp might get their way soon.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently released it's plan for Hemp production and the Texas Agricultural Commissioner Sid Miller sounds excited.
“This is the big leap forward we’ve all been waiting for. … [It] is still not yet legal to grow industrial hemp in Texas,” Sid Miller said. “But we are one step closer to allowing farmers to get this exciting new crop in the ground.”
Miller also stated that "We're not going to make our plan any less restrictive" in reference to the rules laid out by the USDA.
